ASSESSMENT OF STORMWATER DRAINAGE SYSTEMS: CASE STUDY OF KHARTOUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Abstract


The main objective of storm water conveyance system is to provide for safe passage of vehicles or operation of the facility during the design storm event. Therefore, the storm water drainage system should be given high first priority in the design and construction of airports. The aim of this research work is to assess the current status of the storm water system in Khartoum International Airport as a specific area of interest; a long with the attempt of establishing a
computer model for the subject area that enables future enhancement and assessment of the drainage system.
