Abstract

The woman’s contribution in the Waqf (Endowments) activity in Sudan was quite considerable through the different historical eras. That contribution was apparently seen in her as Waqf donor or been donated to or she herself as Waqf slave or as been aggrieved in the Waqf. This article aims at tracing the participation of Sudanese woman in Waqf at the time that extended from 590 B.C., the first year for the Sudanese woman to join the Waqf activity in Sudan, up to 1970, when the first law of charity Waqf was issued in Sudan.
