Abstract

According to Reisner, who
discovered Lower Nubia civilizations,
the C-Group represents the third one.
Many scholars agreed that the C-Group
came into existence during the first
intermediate period. This study tries to
confirm that the twenty-fifth dynasty,
which ruled Egypt and Kush between
760 – 653 BC, was a Kushite one and
that the ascendants of these kings belong
to the most ancient civilized groups in
Lower Nubia; namely, the A-Group,
which founded the C-Group. The latter
migrated to Upper Nubia and laid the
foundation of their first kingdom in the
area of Nabata.
