Abstract

This study focused on the
impact of industrial waste water on soil
and ground water and the population in
Wad Dafī
c
a area. Data showed that soil in
the area is affected by high concentrates
of Sodium in soil solution as well as high
concentration of NO3+NO2. Some of the
nearby population has been negatively
affected (e.g. spread of Typhoid and
eye diseases), in addition to the lower
prices of houses in the vicinity. The paper
recommended, inter alia, rehabilitation
of the station observing compliance of
waste water with the standard of Sudanese
specifications.
