توظيف الفولكلور لدعم الوحدة الوطنية عبر برامج الإذاعة السودانية
Abstract
This article discusses the possibility of applying folklore genres in radio programs to enhance national coherence and stability of Sudan. To achieve this goal, an intensive field collection of oral and written literature was conducted. The results of the data analysis show that, although Sudan is a multicultural country, many cultural commonalities such as Sudan Colloquial Arabic, common history, customs, belief and music can unite the people of Sudan. These commonalities are mainly embedded in folklore genres which are orally transmitted. Hence, radio media is the most appropriate means of communication that can bring people together. This article criticizes the current radio programs for its inability to exploit folklore genres adequately in enhancing national unity suggesting a radio program with a new structure and methods to rectify the present situation.
