اتجاهات طلاب المرحلة الثانوية نحو عمل أمهاتهم (دراسة ميدانية في مدارس الخرطوم والخرطوم بحري)

Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the nature of secondary school students’ attitudes towards their mothers’ work pointing to the differences in attitudes according to gender. The study followed the descriptive method. The data was collected from a sample size of 120 male and female students aged 15 to 20 years, drawn from four schools through stratified random sampling method. The tool of data collection was attitude scale (Likert style) consisting of 29 items with good psychometric properties in the test reliability. The results have shown that the attitudes of the students towards their mothers’ work were negative with no difference according to gender. The study recommends further research on the attitudes towards mothers’ work among different social groups considering variables such as the type of mothers’ employment and job satisfaction.
