Abstract

This paper highlights one of the most important periods in the history of the Sudan the “Islamic period”; there are no enough
studies on this important period. The paper light attention to Islamic period in the Sudan, and divided it into three phases,
with its Material evidences. The archaeological remains included- the types of Islamic arts and architectures- domes,
mosques, seclusions [khalwas], corners [zawyas], houses, fortresses and Islamic pottery
