Abstract

 The Islamic civilization is unique and distinct from the other civilizations of the world, as it draws in the formulation of its
systems, legislations and regulations from the Holy Qurān and Sunna (Prophetic Tradition). In conformity with those systems,
legislations and regulations, the Muslims established their State and set up their civilization; and in the same framework, they
developed their social, scientific, political, administrative, economic, etc. systems. This research, which adopted the
descriptive and historical approaches, aimed to track the impact of the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunna on laying the foundations
of the Islamic civilization. The significance of this research stems from being a response to the claims that the Islamic civilization
