Abstract

A 17-years-old female presented with vulval non-pruritic papular cauliflower-like skin lesions. Lichen planus, genital warts and Keloids were suspected. Urine microscopy revealed abundant Schistosoma haematobium eggs. Tissue biopsy showed granuloma with abundant Schistosoma haematobium eggs. Patient received praziquantel therapy that cleared the urinary Schistosoma with no effect on the cutaneous lesion. Genital cutaneous bilharsiasis is relatively rare and may cause diagnostic errors
