The objective of this study is to identify the border problems between Sudan and her neighbours. The study has revealed three types of border problems: hot or active problems with both Egypt and the state of South Sudan, dormant or sleeping borders with Ethiopia and somehow settled borders with Chad, Central Africa, Libya and Eritrea. The Study also revealed that border problems are often instigated by International powers to suit their objectives. The results of the study indicated that border problems gave foreign powers the pretext to intervene, particularly that such problems resulted in refugee Crisis. Political instability in the region has resulted in underdevelopment in all countries. The Study recommends that all countries concerned should concentrate on development rather than fight. Also all countries of the region should stop rather than aid foreign intervention and should resort to solving their border problems through dialogue under the umbrella of the African Union (AU).Downloads
