Abstract

This Study aims at identifying the natural geographical conditions experienced in the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula throughout the geological history. The study focuses on the Pliestoceme period which witnessed a drastic climate change  and impacts on geographical nature of various land and sea surfaces in the region. A number of research methodologies such as the historical, inductive, regional, and descriptive were adopted. The study arrived at  several conclusions of which the most important is that sand dunes were formed in several intervals during the period, Moreover, most of the Sand Seas in the Empty Quarter (Al Ruba Al Khali) and in Al Nafud Al Kabeer deserts were formed from silt sediments transported by winds form the lacustrine deltas, sea coasts, and outcrops of sedimentary rock.
