Abstract

This paper focuses on ways to develop Wadi Al Awateib basin, by means of water harvesting techniques. This endevour will hopefully lead to the heightening of economic and water potentials in the basin. Shedding the light on this matter will support the livelihood of man and his economic activities in the area. Animal herding and cultivation are some of the benificiaeries. In addition, tourism activities in an area adjacent to important archaeological area in the Sudan (Naqaa and Musawarat Alsafra sites) will be attractive to investors and developers in the field.
