This study explores the philosophical richness of the Risale i Nur by examining Imam Nursi’s distinctive philosophy of opposites within his holistic vision of the cosmos and the existential role of humankind. It seeks to recover a nuanced reading of Nursi’s reflections on duality as manifested across material phenomena, values, and meanings, thereby affirming his place among modern philosophers. Adopting a critical and comparative methodology, the study analyzes Nursi’s texts to unfold general concepts and overarching perspectives, then connects, critiques, and synthesizes particular details into a unified vision. To highlight the originality of Nursi’s thought, his philosophy is situated in dialogue with earlier traditions, including Ancient Eastern wisdom and Greek philosophy. The findings reveal a convergence between Nursi and Zoroaster in grounding the philosophy of opposites in faith based truths, while marking a sharp divergence from the Greek legacy, whose dualistic thought was deeply rooted in materialism. Nursi’s contribution is distinguished by its articulation of faith centered concepts characterized by clarity, coherence, and originality. The study concludes that the Risale i Nur embodies a unique and philosophically rich contribution, positioning Nursi as a modern thinker whose philosophy of opposites offers fresh insights into the interplay of matter, values, and meaningDownloads
