Abstract

This study aims to develop a plan to improve the graduate programme at the Department of Archaeology,
University of Khartoum. The aim is to identify weaknesses and strengths in the management and diversity of
research and studies and to improve the programme so that its outcomes contribute to the development of
concepts and knowledge about cultural heritage and its management in Sudan. It is expected that the plan will
also propose new strategies and approaches to solve problems related to Sudanese antiquities. In addition, it
will assist the department in improving curricula and teaching methods to enhance the department's position in
the global assessment of higher education programmes.
