The Sudanese Red Sea area and eastern Sudan are regions of significant archaeological importance these works
came within the project of archaeological, heritage, and environmental research for the Red Sea region and
Eastern Sudan, The project area also included some components of Suakin Island, which is considered one of
the most important Islamic ports in Eastern Sudan, as well as the Red Sea coast region and its mountain range,
up to the upper Nile River and the Kassala region, which are regions of special historical and cultural
importance. The results of the fieldwork during these seasons were promising and interesting, as the sites
discovered demonstrate the region’s richness in archaeological sites dating back to different periods. The results
of the study also findings include ancient ports, burial sites, and artifacts that provide insights into the economic,
religious, and social activities of the region's inhabitants. These discoveries underscore the importance of the
Sudanese Red Sea coast and eastern Sudan as hubs of connectivity and cultural exchange, contributing to a
broader understanding of the region's archaeological heritage
