Abstract

This study is one of the studies that can add little to the previous studies in the history of the Sudan through the
translation and interpretation of Sudanese inscriptions written in the ancient Egyptian language, and the
importance of this study in that it sheds light on the historical, political and religious aspects of the engraving of
the king Anlamani and belongs to the period called some Scientists such as Abd al-Gadir Mahmoud Abdullah in
his book (Ancient Sudan - Political History - under press) the second Napatan period (661- 591 BC). Which
begins at the end of the reign of King Taniot- Amani (Tanut- Amani) and the end of the rule of King Aspelta, the
period that ended the rule of the twenty - fifth Dynasty to Egypt, and then moved the capital to Napata under
circumstances we do not know, and followed the descriptive analytical method in the narrative of the inscription
and description The political, religious and social characteristics of the period of the king mentioned above and
the analysis of the important events in the inscription and compare them with the previous studies on this subject.
The study concluded by clarifying the role of this inscription in the knowledge of the political conditions, The
role of the religious, which is evident from the king made four of his sisters maids on the temples of Amun in
Kawa and Argo and Al-Barkal and Sanam Abu Dom.
