Abstract

This study aimed to extrapolate the experience of the poet Abu Madi in which he employed symbols. And an
attempt to reveal the aesthetics of his symbolic poetry. The importance of the study comes from the fact that it
enriches Arabic literature through the creativity of Elia Abu Madi and his uniqueness in symbolic poetry. The
researchers followed the descriptive, analytical and inductive method. The study reached a number of results,

In his poetry, Abu Madi mixed imagination, symbolism, and emotion in an artistic image that attracts the reader’s
attention. Abu Madi beautifully expressed the small things he picked up from nature. In his symbolic poetry, Abu
Madi renewed the word, benefiting from his local and international culture. Among the study’s
recommendations: Comparing Abu Madi’s symbolic poetry with that of another poet. Paying attention to Abu
Madi’s poetry and benefiting from it in schools, universities, and literary forums to instill virtuous values
