Abstract

The title of this research is: "The role of Arabic-speaking TV channels in China and its impact on developing the listening skill
of Arabic-speaking learners - CGTN is a case study." The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach to carry
out this research and relied on the application of a questionnaire preparation for the evaluation of the programme. She came
up with the most important findings: CGTN has a positive role in the development of listening skills as teachers and learners
use the channel to develop that skill and raise student levels - CGTN has a positive role in the development of listening skills
as a large segment of learners record the language contexts and words spoken in the channel, which enriches hearing
comprehension and enriches the language. Considering the results of the research: Interest Listening skill in language learning
since it is the language factory that produces speech, it is auditory comprehension that generates response to speech.
Increasing interest in Arabic-speaking media and employing them to develop the skill of listening to the positive results already
presented - Encouraging educated teachers to increase the follow-up of the channel as it raises the educational, cognitive and
cultural level, and this makes the gap between the real and artificial language environment small -Storage some of the video
materials from the channel and make it part of the curriculum and the educational bag for Arabic language learners in China
to develop their listening skill while taking care of the different purposes of the learners - Efforts to overcome the difficulties
encountered by learners in listening to the channel using various types of listening and progressive training in order to optimize
the situation.
