As an important means of transportation, horses are valued by people from all countries, and the breeds,
breeding and culture of horses during cultural and trade exchanges have become the focus of most scholars. The
custom of keeping monkeys and horses together as a kind of breeding superstition was introduced from India to
China and then spread from China to Japan. During its spread, the culture also gave rise to unique Chinese
vocabulary, cultural imagery, and specific official positions, and is one of the examples of the integration and
interaction of civilizations in ancient times. This paper traces the spread of the phenomenon of "Monkey and
Horse Raising Together", explores how the culture spread from India to China and Japan, and integrates and
develops with the local cultures, and dynamically compares and analyzes the cultural differences between
different countries through the paths of cultural diffusion from the perspectives of time and space.
