الإيجاز في سورة البقرة

This study examined conciseness (ijaz) in Surat Al-Baqarah. Its importance lies in clarifying the Quranic
conciseness within Surat Al-Baqarah and the exceptional attention given by rhetoric scholars to conciseness by
omission. The study aimed to highlight the beauty of how few words can convey many meanings. This study
adopted a descriptive analytical methodology and reached several key conclusions, most importantly that the
vocabulary of the Holy Quran has an impact on discourse, whether mentioned or omitted, whether singular or
compound, and that the use of synonyms is not appropriate in the Holy Quran. The study recommends further
rhetorical studies that demonstrate the inability of Arabs to match the Holy Quran, despite their eloquence and
rhetoric.
