The title of this research is the phonetic phenomena in the Sudanese colloquial dialect, a descriptive study through popular proverbs. Its objectives are to clarify the phonetic phenomena by showing the relationship between the Sudanese colloquial dialect and classical Arabic, clarifying the causes of the phonetic phenomenon, and studying the locations of the phonetic phenomena by applying them to popular proverbs. The researcher followed the descriptive and analytical approach. Reaching important results including: The sounds that have changed most significantly are the grammatical sounds, which are the (thaثاء), the (dha( ذال, and the (thaظاء). The (qafقاف) sound came out from multiple sources, some of which are found in classical Arabic and some of them are in other colloquial ones. Some sounds, such as the (tā’طاء) and(ra’راء), were softened. The researcher also reached recommendations, including: Researchers must continue research in the study of popular proverbs. Specialists in the field of rhetorical literature must study popular proverbs in a rhetorical study to highlight the great meanings they contain.
