Abstract

The study has tackled the role of information sources in raising information awareness among Teaching Staff at Al-Jazeera University: a case study of Faculties of Education. The study aims to know the role of information sources in raising information awareness among Teaching Staff at Al-Jazeera University, and to identify the types of information sources that are most used and appropriate for Teaching Staff. This study has followed the descriptive analytical approach and the case study approach, and the questionnaire has been used as a tool for collecting data. The study has reached some results, the most important of which are: The availability of information resources in these libraries has a role in developing their information awareness. The study has recommended the necessity of including the information awareness course among the curricula of Faculties of Education, Library and Information Department.
