Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of climate on livestock species and track their dairy production in Al-Ahsa governorate. In its methodology, the study relied on the commodity approach to the study of natural and climatic factors affecting specialized farms, the regional approach to determining the study area and its geographical characteristics, the historical approach to tracking production under the impact of climate, the study also used the quantitative method of data analysis, the cartographic method of drawing maps and figures. The study proved the impact of climatic conditions in general and the elements of heat and humidity specifically on the volume of production and livestock varieties in the study area, where the Pearson correlation coefficient showed an inverse correlation to an average degree between temperature and humidity on the one hand and the monthly production of dairy on the other hand in the NADA and Al Rayyan farms, and the impact of humidity increases if accompanied by an increase in temperatures. The study also found a close relationship between climatic conditions and the importance of choosing livestock varieties that have the ability to withstand those conditions or have the ability to adapt and adapt to them in order not to affect the amount of production of dairy and its derivatives. The study recommended the importance of taking into account the location of farms specialized in dairy production and benefiting from it in supporting their needs and diversifying their products in accordance with local climatic conditions, and the need to develop future plans to protect livestock from diseases that may affect them in such difficult climatic conditions.
