Theater in the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council has been closely linked to the popular heritage since its early days, but the focus was on the narrative oral heritage, in contrast to the scarcity of employing popular performing arts of a kinetic and lyrical nature. Which constituted a question from which this study was based, as its problem is based on researching how the Gulf theater director employs the performing folk arts, and when we say the director, this means that we are wondering about the show, not about the written text, on the other hand, how aware is the Gulf theater director of these arts?, In order to approach this topic, the study went to choose a directorial model, represented by the Kuwaiti director Abdullah Al-Aber, through my plays: Al-Bushiya and Ghafar Al-Zala, and from here the study gains its importance from the fact that it deals with the relationship of the Gulf theater with the performance artistic heritage, and then it stands on the methods through which Al-Aber employed the performance arts. Gulf popularity in these two performances? The Khaleeji possessed the ability to deal with his popular heritage, and he consciously employed these arts as a result of his prior knowledge of them and their dramatic energy, then there is a discrepancy between directors in choosing folk arts according to their directorial orientation and the extent of their knowledge of these arts, and their awareness of them.
