Abstract

The study dealt with the most important topic, which is grammatical pauses with Qur’anic verses, these This study examines the impact of the transformation from the conventional interest-based banking system to the Islamic banking system in financing the agricultural sector, The research adopts a descriptive–analytical and comparative methodology, combining the examination of Islamic legal texts and juristic opinions with an analysis of economic literature, and Shari’ah standards. The findings reveal that Islamic financing—  particularly through commodity-based contracts such as Salam, Muzara‘a, Musaqat, Murabaha, Musharaka,  Mudaraba, and Qard Hasan—links capital to real economic activity and applies the principle of “al-ghunm bi-al-ghurm” "profit accompanies risk". This reduces default rates, ensures the timely provision of  agricultural inputs, enhances productivity and price stability, and promotes distributive justice and social solidarity, in contrast to the interest-based system which imposes fixed costs regardless of outcomes. However, the study identifies several challenges hindering effective implementation, including weak agricultural infrastructure, lack of qualified personnel, limited hedging instruments that comply with Shari’ah, and low  public awareness of Islamic financing methods.

The study recommends strengthening the legislative and regulatory framework, expanding training and awareness programs, establishing special funds based on zakat, awqaf, and benevolent loans to support small farmers, and encouraging partnership-based contracts in large agricultural projects.
