### The Influence of Conducting Bodies of Revolutions on the Radiation Characteristics of Circular Loop Antennas

#### Abstract

on the radiation characteristics of the loop antenna is studied using the well-known theory for

the circular loop antenna with numerical Green’s functions for bodies of revolution. The

structures composed of loop/sphere; loop/cone-sphere, loop/open cylinder, loop/disk, and

loop/toroid are considered in the study. An alternative technique is provided to study the

interesting problems of the loop antenna over finite ground plane and the array of two loops.

The results of this study are in good agreement with published result for cases of the loop over

the finite ground plane and the array of two loops.
