Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Instructions for Authors Submitting Articles to “Sudan Dental Journal”.

    Thank you for considering submitting your article to our journal. Please carefully follow the instructions below to ensure that your article meets our requirements for publication.

    1. Abstract: The abstract should not exceed 250 words. It should provide a brief overview of the study, highlighting key findings and conclusions.

    2. Manuscript length: The manuscript should not exceed 3000 words, including abstract, introduction, materials or patients and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references. Authors are encouraged to use concise language and focus on the most important aspects of their research.

    3. Tables and figures: Tables and figures must be included within the manuscript word file. Please select the most significant results to include.

    4. Sections: The manuscript should be clearly organized, with the following sections in this order: Introduction, Materials and/or patients and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

    5. References: Please use the Vancouver citation style for all references. A reference list should be included at the end of the manuscript.

    6. Conflict of interest: Please clearly state any conflicts of interest that may affect the research or interpretation of results.

    7. Funding and acknowledgements: Any funding, grants, or acknowledgements should be clarified carefully in the end of the abstract.
