الملخص

This study aimed to analyze and evaluate the grammatical content in the first book of the "Arabic Language" series prescribed for first-year middle school students in Senegal's dual-system  schools. It explores the alignment of this content with established linguistic and pedagogical standards for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, in light of contemporary applied linguistics 
theories. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing scientific observation,  pedagogical critique, and statistical tools for data analysis. The findings revealed that while the book theoretically adopts the "Textual Approach," its practical execution lacks logical progression 
and sufficient reinforcement exercises. The study recommends redrafting the textbook to enhance functional grammar and link it to real-life communicative situations
