About the Journal

The ELI Journal aims to:

  • Encourage research in English language teaching (ELT) and learning;
  • Provide well-constructed discussion related to the principles and practice that establish how English language is taught and learnt.
  • Fill in the gap of the lack of a specialized journalin ELT research in Sudan.

Contributions related under the broad umbrella of ELT and learning, particularly those connected to Sudan, the Middle East and North Africa, are welcomed. Readers are kindly requested to send us news of all relevant research, material development projects, new courses, and events such as conferences and workshops. Suggestions for how the journal can be improved are appreciated. Publishers are requested to send review copies of ELT textbooks.
